The Zambia Environmental Management Agency [ZEMA] is a Statutory body that regulates environmental management on all environmental issues in Zambia.
The Government of the Republic of Zambia [GRZ] has received financing from the Global Environmental Fund [GEF] through the United Nations Environment Programme[ UNEP] to enable Zambia prepare its Third National Communication [TNC] to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change [UNFCCC]. ZEMA as the National Implementing Agency [NIA] intends to apply part of the agreed amount for payments toward the recruitment of a Project Manager.
ZEMA hereby invites qualified personnel to apply for the position of TNC Project Manager.
To manage the operations of the Project effectively and efficiently through sound Project management.
Position Title: THIRD NATIONAL COMMUNICATION-PROJECT MANAGER
Reports To: Manager – Planning and Information Management
Duty Station: ZEMA Head Office – Lusaka
Duration: 30 months
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The project Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities;
Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in a reputable organisation with traceable references
The candidate must be a Zambian who is a self-starter, goal oriented person with demonstrated ability to perform with minimum supervision
The candidate must have the ability communicate orally and effective written skills an dposses excellent interpersonal skills and high ethical standards. Computer literacy is a must
